Sweeney needs to giddy up. Lots out there to grab. Toffoli and Dillon would do it. |

Dillon would be good insurance depending on the cost. My guess is with the limited number of quality dman rentals that will be available the price will be inflated.
Can't see why the Pens would still be in on Kreider. My guess is they'd be targeting a RW at this point if they go after another wing. |

Of the rental dmen who could possibly be moved, here are the best in no particular order:
M. Green
A. Green
Vatanen
Scandella
Daley
Dillon
Borowiecki
DeMelo
Del Zotto
While there are a couple of decent names, this is not a great list. Behind Vatanen, you could argue that Dillon is the 2nd or 3rd best name available, so he's definitely not coming cheap. |

Edmonton Journal reporting Oilers will be conservative come deadline, not sure they land Pageau. - Alexzanki

Of those, it's really only Dillon, Vatanen, and DeMelo who are playing top-4 minutes, and still in their career prime. Beyond that, there's little more than some veteran name recognition, and #5/6 d-men for whom Scandella probably set the market by going for a 4th round pick. I'd also suggest that Hainsey and Martinez are key omissions, as they are expendable veteran assets with Cup experience playing on rebuilding teams.

No question the Rangers should try and resign Kreider. Why would you want to break up kreider and Zib!!! The only issue here is money and term the Rangers can't afford to make the mistake of some albatross contract. Kreider is 29 years old for his next contract 5 years max term and 6.5M per another more than that the Rangers will walk away and I can't blame them. Kreider is one of my favorite players but enough is enough with these outrageous contracts. I do believe since Kreider takes great care of himself and is a health nut that he can play until he is 36 and be somewhat effective but after 32 he play will start to decrees. Be smart Chris take the discount and be happy by staying a Ranger! |

i almost want to believe that he writes like a learning disabled person to get the hits from people complaining that he writes like a learning disabled person. he's clearly displayed that he isn't intelligent enough to devise a plan like that though. - Richardflair
I think this is 4 days in a row I post this. And I've just started. |

There have been conflicting reports on whether or not the Pens would consider going after another center. I think he'd be a great add. |

Why does everyone have to wait for Rutherfod to be the first to make a big move. These gm's are paid huge $$. Can they not think ahead of time? |

No. They all must run around the Spectrum many times like a young David Poile did in 1966. They're too tired to make trades.
